The 15th Jiangsu Book Fair kicked off at Suzhou International Expo Centre in SIP on July 3 and will last till July 7.
Over 600 publishers are participating in the event with more than 100,000 books, including those on social sciences, art and technology, literary works and children’s books.
At the elaborately designed pavilions, over 400 publishers sell retail more than 80,000 books, and 130-plus exhibitors sell exquisite cultural and creative products.
In the Jiangsu Selected Books Pavilion, the best sellers by a number of Jiangsu-native writers are shown, alongside other outcomes from the cultural and publishing sectors of Jiangsu province.
The Pavilion of China Children’s Books Fair features a colorful painting wall, cute chairs, and dazzling books, including the latest pop-up books.
The 2025 Suzhou Literature Week was launched at the same time, with 170-plus activities designed to spread writing skills and facilitate exchanges on literature.
Other exhibitions including a picture exhibition designed to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War and one highlighting high-quality cultural life are being held.
The cultural and creative products are eye-catching. Among them are metal bookmarks designed with inspiration drawn from windows in Suzhou’s classical gardens, notebooks integrating elements of traditional Chinese ink painting and silk tapestry weaving, and reading-themed toys.
