SIP observed the first “Clean Community Day” on July 5, when many people volunteered to help keep local communities clean.

In Lanfang Community in Xietang Sub-district, the volunteers including property management workers and residents campaigned in three groups to pick up litter in green belts and corners of buildings, curb electric bike parking not meeting relevant rules, and impart knowledge on waste sorting and vehicle parking rules to residents.

It is learned that over 100 volunteers from 32 administrative organizations and about 2,000 residents from 187 communities participated in the campaign on the same day, doing their bit in maintaining the cleanness and tidiness of communities, streets and lanes and business districts.

According to SIP authorities, the campaign will last till December, with the Clean Community Day observed on the first Saturday of every month.
